Last May, The North Face athletes Jimmy Chin and Hilaree O’neill, along with an athlete based video production crew, headed in to the Tetons to shoot a 30 second tv commercial that is now airing on primetime. The idea was to create a commercial that was genuine. Real climbing and real skiing by two of The North Face’s own. An authentic look at a day in the mountains. This behind the scenes lets you see what it takes to capture the raw exploration that is synonmous with our entire athlete team.

A standard day in the life of the recovery from a few broken vertebrae and a skull fracture. Even though I’m not technically cleared for psychical therapy yet, the time has finally come for some soul therapy. Besides my standard 5d shooting style with lots of kesslercrane.com pocket dolly motion control it was cool to test out the POV.HD cam. It was fun to experiment with a fresh roll of duct tape, a bit of stiff steel wire and some thin pieces of PVC
